An event that could have become a tragedy was the plane accident he had as he was landing in Londonderry, Northern Ireland.

USA, November 1. POSSIBLE NEW ALBUM BY YANNI IN THE EARLY 1997. As it appears, a new work by Yanni will be published by early 1997, although as these lines are being written there are no definite dates to be trusted yet. After the release of the album, hopefully the artist will engage on a new concert tour. Also there are reports on the preparation of a music video, based on two of his concerts (at the London Royal Albert Hall). Nowadays, Yanni lives and works in Los Angeles as well as in Seattle.
