Spain, July 18. FESTIVAL DE NOVES MUSIQUES.

The second Festival de Noves Músiques (Festival of New Musics) will be held at the Cova de la Font Major, in Francolí, Tarragona, between the 14 and the 16 of August. Among the performances to be held, mention must be made of the ones by Paul Giger and Damia Timoner. There also will be different lectures and other events, as well as record exhibitors. USA, July 18. STEVE ROACH'S NEW ALBUM.

On This Planet is now complete and in production for September on Fathom Records. This is a studio recording of selected pieces born during his last year's numerous live concerts across the U.S. Omar Faruk Tekbilek and Patrick O'Hearn are featured guests on the title track. Mexican composer Jorge Reyes will visit Roach's studio in August for a new collaboration. The third David Hudson release on Celestial Harmonies, with Steve as producer and collaborator, will feature the didgeridoo in a landscape of sound worlds created bySteve.

USA, July 18. GS DEVELOPERS CONFERENCE.

Edirol Corporation, a division of The Roland Group, will host the GS Developers Conference for North America, an unprecedented event for developers and designers of music software, MIDI song files, computer games and multimedia presentations. On the West Coast, the conference will meet July 29 in Seattle. East Coast attendees will meet August 1 in Orlando.

Italy, July 18. STEVE ROACH & VIDNA OBMANA CONCERTS.

Steve Roach y Vidna Obmana have been invited to perform at the Verucchio Festival July 26th in Verucchio, Italy, a small medieval town near Rimini. They will perform their first U.S. concert together on July 30 at Shank Hall in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. According to Steve Roach, this show will be more experimental and improvisational than their other shows in Chicago and Italy. On August 1 Steve returns to Chicago for the Second Projekt Festival. He'll perform a solo set, and a live set with Vidna Obmana. The festival is August 1st and 2nd at the Vic Theatre.

"Using Sound & Music for Healing & Light-Body Activation". July 26, Saturday, 8:00 pm. Mountain View, California. In this 2-hour event, Iasos will be discussing the theories of how sound can have a healing effect. This evening will be both conceptual (talking) and experiential (listening to music).
