GEODESIUM

"FOURTH UNIVERSE"

Loch Ness Productions

Geodesium, the stage name of Mark C. Petersen, one of the most important producers and composers of electronic music for planetariums, obviously has no objection to labelling his themes as pure space music. Fourth Universe is the fourth splendid album the artist has released, although in actual fact he has been composing "soundtracks" for astronomic performances for twenty years. This CD gathers 18 pieces from 1986 to 1991. They are pieces of a complex conception, yet at the same time they are easy to listen to, and, in the absence of images, they are by themselves a magnificient sample of electronic music of a high degree. In the most perfect cosmic vein, it will delight the lovers of this kind of music. Ethereal, gliding sounds, spectacular, soft melodies and sequences, envelop one by one all the themes of the album. Petersen, like all experienced creators, has a good grasp of the media. If the audience pays an adequate attention, don't wonder if you feel the entire starry universe open up before your eyes.
