Michel Huygen KRUNG THEP Neuronium Records 2010 This CD is the third volume in the series "Extreme Meditation" by Michel Huygen, after "Angkor" and "Irawadi". Following the style line of the series, Huygen offers us a collection of crystalline, luminous compositions, rich in dreamy melodies and warm ambiences, which fluctuate from Space Music to New Instrumental Music. The synthesizers with clearly electronic timbres and textures have an important role for a great deal of the time, yet also noteworthy are the elements of archaic sonority, which contribute an additional dimension to the music and evoke in the listener the most fascinating aspects of traditional Thai culture, the source for inspiration for this album.
