"ANCIENT JOURNEYS"

BSC Music / Prudence

Michael Holm and Christian Schulze take us once again to imaginary voyages through their music in "Ancient Journeys". As the title of the CD indicates, the listener embarks on a dreamy tour to the past, wrapped in the traditional sounds of ancestral melodies of the Andes, intertwined with rhythms of New Instrumental Music with certain touches of Pop. The Cd is a homage to the great explorers of the past, in nine themes where tribal drums, soaring flutes. ethereal melodies, ancient musical instruments from all over the world and the most modern synthesizers weave a wondrousl tapestry that captures the romance of ancient Spanish galleons and the Conquistadores, the caravans to Eastern lands with Marco Polo, the oddyseys of ancestral migrators such as the primitive nomadic tribes peopling the North of America or Asia, the busy bazaars in Byzantium, the audacious journes of VAsco Da Gama, the cradle of civilization in Mesopotamia, The Bulgar Horsemen of the seventh century, or the great Crusades in the Middle Ages. Kublai Khan and his Empire, all that with the usual mastery that Cusco has always displayed for the delight of their fans.
