"THE ANNAZAAL TAPES"

Manikin

Recorded live during a concert in the Netherlands, the pieces that constitute this album are very much a homage to the adventurous spirit that characterized the musical creativity of the synthesists in those times when they only had analogic equipments available to them. The tape that appears on the cover of the album seems to symbolize this concept. The music, of a Space style, based on the use of powerful sequencer rhythms and stormy atmospheres, evokes the analogic machinery in its unending quest for universes of sound and metaphysical experiences. The cosmic mysticism of such themes as for instance "Shapes" or "Speed", is impressive indeed.
