ARTEMIY ARTEMIEV

"MYSTICISM OF SOUND"

Electroshock Records

This album by the synthesist and author of movie soundtracks Artemiy Artemiev is a window through which the listener can view a colossal abyss, an abyss inhabited by mythical beigns, at the same time fascinating and dreadful, present under the guise of multiple sonic constructions that emanate from the synthesizers of Artemiev. The most impressive piece is probably "Cataclysms of the XX Century", whose title already suggests its bleak character, evoking of devastation in all its might. Yet the most dreadfully wondrous moment of the entire album are the first thirty seconds of "Mysticism of sound Part 1", which succeed in merging mystery and beauty in as an attractive melody as it is dreary, a sort of siren's song that becomes a bridge between our world and the Kingdom of Death.
