Speak was written and recorded between 1987-89 by Steven Wilson and
Tim Bowness. For this release, the 12 tracks have received new vocals, but the
instrumentation is taken from the original tapes (except two themes which are completely
new versions). Voices, guitars, calm atmospheres, are the main traits, but you can also
find electronic and percussive sequences, and music that echoes the work of people like Arvo
Pärt, Henryk Górecki, J. Buckley, Durruti Column and others. This debut on Materiali
Sonori will be followed by the release of a new album (Lighthouse).
