Blackmore's Night is Ritchie Blackmore and Candice Night, a very special duo, and Under a Violet Moon is their new album. Many people will remember Blackmore as one of the founding members of the famous bands Deep Purple and Rainbow. This time, however, the great guitarist follows other musical pathways. Under a Violet Moon is a sonic journey to the Medieval Europe: 16 themes, mainly traditional melodies and also new songs written by the duo. This is certainly a beautiful work. The angelic voice of Candice Night, the guitars, mandolin, drums and other instruments conjure a provocative sense of beauty. It's surprising how easily they move between several sub-genres. A very enjoyable album!
