CUARTETO PATRIA & MANU DIBANGO

"CUBAFRICA"

Celluloid / Melodie

The wealth in the African-Latin-Cuban folk does not seem to have any limits. And not only with respect to the amount of traditional compositions, but also with respect to their musical quality and the richness of their contents. To illustrate this once again, Cuarteto Patria & Manu Dibango offer us a careful selection of eleven themes in which they presents us the best of themselves. The music is performed by these artists: Manu Dibango (saxo), Eliades Ochoa (guitar, vocals), Umberto Ochoa (guitar, vocals), William Calderon (bass), Roberto Torres (percussion), Eglis Ochoa (maracas), Jerry Malekani (guitar). Spontaneity, warmth and sensibility would perhaps be the most adequate words to refer to this work
