Accidental Beauties is the first solo CD by Doug Wyatt. He has been collaborating with other musicians since 1979 and now he has decided to release his own music. He has been working with synthesizers for almost twenty years so here we'll find electronic atmospheres, slow and rapid rhythms, and ethereal and meditative environments. The eleven pieces were composed mainly by improvisation but they sound really well. The remarkable music shows several elements of sound innovation and audio processing. There are also occasional voices and percussion. Some tracks are more melodic than others but many have hypnotic, dark trends. Experimental passages follow meditative ones and the music is always very intense, vital.
