Mychael & Jeff Danna are musicians with innovation always in mind. Mychael has showed this many times in the electronic music scene and now he and Jeff are doing the same in popular Celtic music. This is not easy, but it seems they are really successful here too. After the interesting A Celtic Tale, this new album is an imaginary soundtrack for a great story: the 9th century Irish legend of Liadain and Curithir. In fact, Jeff and Mychael have already written many TV and film scores. Each of the twelve tracks in this album marks one of the most emotional moments in the story. The instrumentation and style have been chosen specially to transmit these emotions to the listener. Symphonic orchestration, monastic choral chants and Celtic Folk instrumentation are present all over the album. This is certainly a beautiful work. It combines an emotional love story with romantic music in the best Celtic tradition. Mychael plays organ and harmonium and Jeff plays guitars and mandolin. For the occasion, the Dannas have also been accompanied by other noted musicians.
