The piano is the soloist instrument in the 14 themes this album consists of. Diaz-Infante creates a relaxed, meditative atmosphere, with his slow, hipnotic music. The pieces are a succession of chords suggesting some melodies, and with moments of silence interspersed as well, all this within an experimental, minimalist frame. The work maintains a certain romantic, melancholy air, perhaps hinted at by the slow cadence of the pieces. This album turns out to be interesting not only for the people who love Contemporary (New) Music but also for the followers of alternative music in general.
