BOB AND ROBIN ORFANT

"PARRISH"

Coastline Productions

If the two previous works by Bob and Robin Orfant revolved more or less around the magnificient painter Maxfield Parrish, this one could be no exception, since it has been specially composed to celebrate the 125 anniversary of the birth of this artist, who was born in 1870 and died in 1966. The nine themes of this album are mostly devoted to several paintings by Parrish, who besides thus share the name he gave them. The music, instrumental with wide classical and new age touches, is remarkable in its sensitivity and emotional rhythm. Piano, violin, flutes, keyboards, guitars, and a very soft percussion, give shape to a relaxing album with sounds and melodies full of beauty and harmony.
