In this album, pianist Liz Story, accompanied at the bass by Joel Di Bartolo, performs a selection of pieces, for the most part from the following well known artists: Cole Porter, Kurt Weill & Bertold Brecht, George Gershwin & Ira Gershwin, Honny Mercer & Jimmy Van Heusen, Ray Noble, Andy Razaf & Eubie Blake, Vernon Duke and Richard Beirach. There also are some compositions of hers. On the whole, the music is of a romantic style fashionable at the United States during the thirties, between classical music and Jazz.
