ALFY BETZ

"SYMPHONY IN B / PIANO CONCERTO IN D MINOR"

Alfy Betz

Alfy Betz is a little known author who nevertheless has caused a remarkable impression on the specialized press. His first work contains two long pieces subdivided in several parts that the author defines as a classical-fusion style. Certainly, the album has obvious classical and symphonic influences, as can be appreciated in the titles of the songs ("Piano Concerto in D Minor", "Symphony in B"), although it is wrapped in others of a much more modern nature, ranging from rock to pop, to certain touches of jazz. The structure, in spite of everything, is strictly classical, with rondos, alegros, main themes and variations. Betz, an expert pianist, is in charge of the main parts of the album, although he is accompanied by several friends at the guitars as well as other aspects of production. The author also uses numerous electronic keyboards as well as percussion, giving the album a progressive air. A new composer, originally a keyboardist and a sound engineer, who can make himself well known in the near future.
