ROBERT FOX

"THE FIRE AND THE ROSE"

FX Music / AD Music

This work is an elaborated electronic symphony of a cosmic orientation, that also has elements of Classical Music. These latter can be appreciated above all in the general structure of the compositions, with a great protagonism of the melodies, well present throughout the entire album. The rhythms also are a remarkable element, although they remain on a second plane. Certain Ambient traits appear in the sonic atmospheres that constitute the orchestral background. Some passages are cold, mysterious. Others turn out to be warm, emotional. A general trait of the album is the fact that the music happens to be very intense, vital, as if reflecting strong emotions. The special strength of this music perhaps is due to the personal motivation that its author had at the time of composing it. As he himself explains at the leaflet of the CD, The Fire and the Rose is devoted to his wife, deceased in 1991, and to the love that united them both during their shared life. No doubt, Robert Fox succeeded in achieving his objective when composing this work: To shape in music the most beautiful homage ever.
