HANS-JOACHIM ROEDELIUS AND FRIENDS

"THE ATER WORKS"

Multimood Records

This album consists in ten pieces, some of which are the result of the collaboration of Roedelius with other well known artists. They come from Roedelius's files and basically were selected by himself in 1992 so as to make a soundtrack for two theater plays based on texts by Jorge Luis Borges. Two of the themes ("Captured by Letters" and "Long Run"), were originally created in 1975 at the beginning of the collaboration and friendship between Brian Eno and Harmonia (a band formed by Roedelius, Dieter Moebius and Michael Rother). Roedelius modified and utilized them for these performances. Some of the other musicians who have participated in the album are: Nicola Alesi, Joao de Bruco, Fabio Capanni, Mark Lintern-Harris, Stanislaw Michalak and Hermann Rid.
