Birgitte Grimstad is perhaps one of the most advanced representatives of the mystic and meditative path of the Danish label Fønix Musik. An expert in vocal performance, the artist offers us a really impressive series of sonic experiences. Throughout her seven themes of a varied make where solo voices or voices accompanied by percussive instruments tend to predominate, together with flutes, and even the keyboards, Grimstad gives us a lesson on how the human voice, utilized in an adequate way, can be as suitable for meditation as elaborated synthesized sounds of a complex structured could be. In a few words, this is a work that will not leave us indifferent to it.
