DINO DEL MONTE

"ENTRE LOS TIEMPOS"

Lyricon / Sonifolk

Six are the compositions included in this CD. Six themes that lead us near a very special aspect of this Romanian musician. Flamenco guitars, flutes, and above all the zimbal, produce a remarkable result in a musical ensemble very near to the Arab culture. A whole that, often accompanied with the voice of Dino del Monte himself, takes us to an almost complete fusion of the Sephardi culture, flamenco and even jazz. The record has been produced by Juan Ortega and in it participate the composer's son, Adam del Monte, flutist Martha Perry, the guitar by Miguel Linares and the percussion by Rodney D'Assys. Most noteworthy is the track "Juego de Niņos", where Del Monte performs an extraordinary solo of zimbal and takes us to the most introspective part of his music, rhythmic and at the same time transcendental in nature.
