MANUEL GÖTTSCHING / ASHRA TEMPEL / ASHRA

"THE PRIVATE TAPES VOL. 1"

Manikin Records

The theme "Bois de Solei", from 1979, is of a cosmic style, with a soloist electric guitar and static chords as accompaniment. "Eloquentes Wiesel", of the same year, lasts for 29 minutes and its most attractive characteristic is the leading role that the sequencer has. This piece can be defined as pure Cosmic Sequencer Music, with hypnotic melodies that come and go, as well as impressive sequencer solos in a trance key. "Begleitmusik zu einem Horspiel" (1974) is a precious Cosmic symphony with three main parts. The first and the third ones are celestial music, crystalline, with emotive melodies of a great strength. The central one is mysterious, including a strange rhythmic solo. "Bois de la Lune" (1979) is of a similar structure to "Bois de Solei" although perhaps with more elements of rock. "Chicken maladie", from 1970, belongs to the old band Steeple Chase Bluesband, of Göttsching. It is on the purest blues / rock line, and amazes because of the obvious contrast with the most widely known orientation of this musician.
