EVAN BARTHOLOMEW: "BORDERLANDS" Newland Music It is not easy to approach such styles as Ambient with a different perspective from the most common approaches. Nevertheless, Evan Bartholomew,succeeds in doing this, thanks to his resorting to peculiar architectures of sound as well as his own creative spontaneity. All this makes of this album a perfect example of what can be achieved when the artistic reins are taken by the impulse of emotions instead of a construction plan carefully devised yet lacking that crucial inspiration.
