DETLEF KELLER & MARIO SCHONWALDER

"THE TWO PIECE BOX"

Manikin

This work is divided into two long pieces. Part One ("Another Temptation") is composed, performed, recorded and produced by Detlef Keller. Part two ("The Quiet Room - Final Mix") is composed, performed, recorded and produced by Mario Schonwalder. Although the two musicians possess their own style each, the general structure of the album is connected to electronic music of the Berlin School. That is to say, their music, even if it has their own personal imprint, will appeal to those who enjoy long passages dominated by complex sequencers, dreamy melodies and unearthly environments. The structure of the two pieces is very rhythmic. In many passages, the rhythm assumes the role of melody, in the shape of hypnotic sequences that keep oscillating around a determined basis. The whole album has a strong cosmic air, not only due to the use of synthesizers, but also because of the style of the compositions itself.
