This movie soundtrack consists in pieces composed by diverse authors, mostly taken from already released albums. However, there also is music by Michael Stearns specially made for the documentary film Baraka. The predominant style is cosmic, although there also are themes that can be labelled as World Music. Apart from the music by Stearns, most noteworthy is that by Dead Can Dance, David Hykes and Inkuyo.
