Consisting of Joanne Hogg, in charge of the vocals, an essential characteristic of the band, Dave Bainbridge, Terl Bryant, Tim Harries, Mike Haughton and Troy Donockley, their music, near to the Celtic expressivity, nevertheless diverges from the traditional trends so as to give their peculiar vision, much nearer to pop and rock. Their name, Íona, is inspired on an island of the western shore of Scotland and the Celtic brand of Christianity that impregnates their history.
