ENRIQUE MATEU

A guitarist, composer and producer, he was born in 1960 in Wimbledon (Great Britain). He is a Professor of Guitar for the Royal Superior Conservatory of Music in Madrid. He also studied at the Academia Totoyo Millares (Gran Canaria), Fundación Manuel de Falla (Granada), L’Aula de Jazz (Barcelona), Centro Flamenco Paco Peña (Córdoba), Fundación Gulbenkian (Lisboa), Academia Chigiana de Siena (Italia) or the E.R.M.A. in Oxford (England) in the disciplines of timple, piano, cello, flute, instrumental music, composition and conducting orchestras, among other studies. He has collaborated as a conductor, producer or performer, among others, with Gerd Albercht and Guido Schiefen in classical music, singers and songwriters like Rosa León and Ismael Serrano; rock performerslike Miguel Rios and Luz Casal; composers from new trends such as Luis Paniagua and Javier Paxariño as well as orchestras like the Philarmonic Orchestra from Gran Canaria or the Czech Philarmonic Orchestra . In his solo career, he has explored the alternative musics with a very original, varied style. He also works actively in the possibilities of musical composition by means of the computer.
